In the historical context of London, proposals that secure permission to substantially transform abuilding are valued and often the outcome of exceptional ingenuity of design. Palace Court is one such achievement.

Situated on the corner of Hyde Park, this project entails the complete refurbishment of this 19th-centuryArts & Crafts building and mews. Currently, student housing, Arya Douge secured planning for change of use into four luxury maisonettes with a design that prioritised the restoration of original features.

The existing rear mews building, which had fallen into disrepair, was rebuilt to ensure structural integrity and to provide a layout aligned with contemporary living standards. The new mews building respects the scale and proportion of its surroundings; the façade incorporates clean lines and subtle detailing, while the rear courtyard offers a serene outdoor retreat.

The design favours impeccable sustainability, with energy-efficient systems, thermal insulation, and water-saving technologies integrated into the building, ensuring that the property meets contemporary environmental standards while offering year-round comfort.
