Works have begun on the complete refurbishment and reconfiguration of this Victorian home on Bramerton Street in Chelsea. These terraces were constructed somewhere between 1860 & 1890, and Arya Douge have set about removing the non-original additions and alterations to uncover the original bones of the building.
“Stripping out” is often the important first step of a refurbishment project, in Bramerton Street this reveals a home that has been much altered; chopped and changed over 150 years.
Arya Douge is now transforming this building into a twenty-first century residence, including well-appointed bedrooms, reception room, children’s playroom, a study and a two-story display shelving for the family’s collection of antique ceramics.
Featuring a central atrium with a bright open-plan stair, garden facing dining, all beautifully completed with natural oak flooring, bespoke cabinetry and custom stonework. Bramerton Street is a modern, family sanctuary with a rich and remarkable past.
